What deception? These are the predecessors to the Taliban, the same people that Osama bin Laden was a part of. They were the Islamic fundamentalists who were convenient rabble rousers. The crap that was taught to these people is what crashed planes into the Twin Towers on 9/11.

There was no such thing as a Taliban until the Afghanistan’s civil war in the wake of Soviet troops’ withdrawal in 1989, after a decade-long occupation.
