Both of those date formats are stupid.
2015-03-15 is the only one that actually makes sense, and it can be sorted by date very easily.

What's special about 14.31592653? You know Americans are virtually the only people in the world stupid enough to put the month first? A format that serves absolutely no discernable purpose whatsoever.

lol is there a "discernable purpose" for putting the day first? It doesn't DO anything either way. Its like saying that its stupid to say 4=2+2 just because the way you would normally see it written is 2+2=4
