This picture got the facts a little wrong, and how it really happened is actually more impressive. He really got shot before the speech, and decided to give it anyway. During the speech, he was actually bleeding through his shirt on stage. He pulled open his jacket and said "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."

And its also slightly wrong.. or at least 50 is wrong... and by wrong i mean he is lying. He was not shot 9 times. It was 3 times. I always wondered why he could walk around without a shirt for so long and have no one notice the lack of numerous bullet hole scars.
